CWU Glasgow & District Amal Branch Election Results

The results of the Communication Workers Union – Glasgow & District Amal Branch Election 2026 have now been confirmed by the independent scrutineer, Popularis Ltd.

The ballot was conducted in accordance with statutory requirements, and the scrutineer has confirmed they are satisfied that there were no reasonable grounds to believe any contravention of the legal requirements took place. All arrangements relating to the production, distribution and counting of votes met the necessary standards.

Carole Bowmaker – 257 votes – Elected

Area Safety Representative

Arthur Nugent – 136 votes
Robert Tombe – 210 votes – Elected

Total ballot papers received: 347 (15% turnout)

Sub Area Safety Representative (KA/DG)

Andrew Barclay Ferguson – 28 votes – Elected
Stuart McFarlane – 18 votes
Gillian McLatchie – 24 votes

Total ballot papers received: 70 (11% turnout)
