The ballot for the Late Shift Reps and Plant Health and Safety Rep
positions have now concluded. I’d like to thank all candidates for putting
themselves forward and our members for taking part in this ballot.

Turnout: 44%

*AITKEN, Thomas: 124 votes (ELECTED)
SIMPSON, Martin: 61 votes
Ballots returned: 185
Thomas Aitken is therefore elected to the position of CWU Health and
Safety Rep (Glasgow Mail Centre) for the term 2026-2028.

Electorate: 392
Ballots issued: 186 Ballots returned: 186
Turnout: 47%

*HAINEY, David: 108 votes (ELECTED)
*MACAULAY, Gavin: 114 votes (ELECTED)
*REID, Paul: 120 votes (ELECTED)
SIMPSON, Martin: 48 votes
David Hainey, Gavin MacAulay and Paul Reid are therefore elected as the
CWU Reps for the Glasgow Mail Centre Late Shift for term 2026-2028.
As Returning Officer for this election, I can confirm that I find no issues
with the conduct of this ballot. The ballot count was carried out by myself
as Returning Officer on Tuesday 10th March in the Glasgow Mail Centre
and witnessed by CWU sub-Area Processing Rep James Leverage and
CWU lay member Paul O’Neill.
